After the Realease Mozilla Firefox 6.0 some time ago now Realease Mozilla Firefox 7.0 in beta. As we know this version is still in early stages of development and not stable yet but you can try it.
Firefox 7.0 beta drastically improves memory use. It also includes the following new improvements:
1. Added a new rendering backend to speed up Canvas operations on Windows systems
2. Bookmark and password changes now sync almost instantly when using Firefox Sync
3. Added support for text-overflow: ellipsis
4. Added support for the Web Timing specification
5. Added an opt-in system for users to send performance data back to Mozilla to improve future versions of Firefox. This can be enabled by installing an add-on
6. Fixed several stability issues
